Custom Built Homes Provide Style & Options For Easier Living
Construction has started on the new custom built homes community of Heritage Hills III in Cedar Falls. And, with it comes a host of new options for busy Boomers.
Having owned a few houses in your life, you know there are things you’d want to see in a home. For instance, you may want a slightly smaller home than you have now, but you don’t want to give up quality or style. Or, you probably want to have more open space and a home that makes life a little less complicated.
So, when you’re researching how a new home can get you into something more suited for where you are right now in life (and, even be more of what you need later in life), consider these points.
Close to what you need, but not in the thick of things
You want life to be a little easier, and without so much driving. The new Heritage HIlls III neighborhood is centrally located at the intersection of Greenhill Road and Prairie Parkway in Cedar Falls.
It’s close to the things you want to be close to, such as shopping, medical care, entertainment and recreation. All of these and more are literally within a few blocks of the neighborhood.
A neighborhood you can fall in love with
From the style of our custom built homes to street layouts to landscaping, each aspect of the neighborhood was carefully planned to make life in Heritage Hills III enjoyable.
We’ve focused on being as eco-friendly as possible, by taking care to preserve wetland areas and great views. We’ve also reserved a 5-acre green space for daily exercise without having to leave the neighborhood.
The final building in the neighborhood will be a small neighborhood shopping area for coffee shop, bike shop or exercise facilities all blending in perfectly with the homes and community that is planned.
Like many people, you want to keep fit. Walking is good exercise to add for a healthier lifestyle whether you’re you’re 52 or 75. And, what’s more convenient than having beautiful walking paths right out your front door?
Heritage Hills has walking paths to the places you want and need to go. As well as, the neighborhood is on the bike trail in Cedar Falls, with easy access to the 80 miles of trails in the community.
Features in our custom built homes
There are so many features available in the homes of Heritage Hills III, most of them chosen to afford you the luxury and amenities you want in a new home.
For instance, we build our homes with a easy access in mind. From covered no-step entries to your home, to beautiful and stylish walk-in showers, we make sure your home is easy-to-use by you and your guests.
Open floor plans, with a great room, create a relaxing spot for you to unwind after a long day or enjoy the company of friends.
There also are options for outdoor spaces, such as a screened in porch or a deck. And, most home models can have a front porch, since many folks like to sit on the front porch occasionally to visit with neighbors or enjoy time outside.
Quality & luxury you can count on
We only have one standard … which, is high quality. Of course, we offer upgrades if you choose. Here are just a few of the quality features you’ll find in our homes.
- Very high-quality windows for energy efficiency. (Our homes are rated very near the top of the ratings scale for efficiency.)
- Quartz counter tops in every home for easy cleaning and durability. Quartz the material most people prefer.
- For floor coverings, we typically have a third of the house in ceramic tile, another third in hardwoods, and the rest in carpet.
- A walk-in shower is done in a stylish manner with glass block enclosure, which looks very tasteful and luxurious.
- We only use very high-end, furniture-quality cabinets in all of our homes.
- We offer a 2 or 3 stall garage. The 2-stall garage is over-sized.
All from a builder with roots in the community
That might not sound like a feature, but it is certainly important when making an investment in new home construction.
The Craig Fairbanks family has been in the business of home building for almost 63 years. We’ve seen just about everything that can happen in a project. So, we have a very extensive inspection checklist for every stage of the process. Your home will pass the checklist, or no one gets paid until it is right.
We’ve also made significant investments in tools and processes that help make sure you always know how your home is coming along, where we’re at in the project, how much money we’ve spent … and, always the bottom line. We document every conversation, every decision, and our progress with photos nearly every day.
